1. Diving in Gulen
The Fjord Coast is known for its fantastic diving conditions and large variety of subaquatic species, exciting diving environments and many shipwrecks to explore. Som of the most interesting shipwrecks from WW2 are located in the region and visited by divers from all over the world. Gulen Dive Resort is one of Norway´s best diving resorts and take you on exciting dives along the coast.
You cannot go further west in Norway than to the islands of Solund, Bulandet and Værlandet – often called “Venice of the North”. With a myriad of small and large islands, islets and skerries sheltering you from the wind and waves this area is perfect for kayak paddling. The distance to the open sea is short, and many kayakers come in fall to surf the waves.
Or perhaps you want to paddle along beautiful white sand beaches and steep mountains in Bremanger ? Experience prehistoric petroglyphs, old trading posts, and a great wildlife. The archipelago around Florø is excellent for paddling. You can choose to visit on of the many islands around the town or paddle along one of the fjords.

3. Våt Moro (“Wet fun”)
The Outdoor Adventure Festival “Våt Moro” (Wet Fun) has a good choice of exciting activities on, above and under the sea level. The festival also has family activities and evening events, and is arranged annually in July in Florø.
Surrounded by open sea and fjords along Norway´s most beautiful archipelago, the conditions are perfect for sea fishing all year round. Here you will find fishermen´s cabins and holiday houses customized for fishing holidays. These are located right by the sea and offer good boats and facilities for preserving and storing your catch. A local fisherman can be hired as your guide to show you the best fishing spots in the area.
The Flekke- and Guddal watercourse and river system is about 30 km long, from the Flekkefjord to the mountain in Guddal. Here you will find salmon and sea trout. If you want to learn more about freshwater fishing you can join one of Bjarne Huseklepps courses, short and effective. Guiding is also provided.
In the area of Eikefjord you will find the Osen river system and lakes (44 km).
5. RIB Safari
Do you want to experience a real adrenalin kick, you can join a RIB Safari! This will provide you with breathtaking nature and wildlife experiences along our beautiful archipelago.
Kystrafting in Florø offers both coastal rafting, lighthouse rafting, and RIB-boat trips to attractions and beautiful islands surrounding Florø and Bremanger. Or perhaps you want to join a RIB-boat trip hunting for fresh shellfish?
In Gulen Fjordguiding offers RIB-boat trips from Eivindvik and Skjerjehamn.
6. Wild Life Safari
Join a guided boat trip at Værlandet and get close to the mighty white tailed eagle. With the majestic mountain Alden as a backdrop, this is a breathtaking experience. It is truly a memorable experience to get so close to the sea eagle with its wingspan of up to 2,5 metres. Do not forget to bring your camera as you are almost guaranteed som fantastic photographs of both the sea eagle and other animals.
7. Take your bike island hopping
The region of the Fjord Coast is perfect for cycling, with almost no traffic, suitable terrain and a myriad of islands connected with local ferries and passenger boats. Take your bike island hopping and explore the islands!
8. Go swimming in a waterfall
The beautiful waterfall Laukelandsfossen in the Dalsfjord can offer quite a unique bathing experience. From the seafront it´s not visable that you can bath beneath the waterfall, and even so step behind the waterfall! You have to go by boat, or you can borrow a canoe or kayak in Dale to get to the waterfall. (Contact the town hall in the center of Dale to borrow a canoe/kayak. tel. +47 57 73 80 00).
9. Kystled Solund
This summer you can experience the beautiful archipelago of Solund by rowing between the islands and stay overnight at Råkeneset (a cabin owned by the Norwegian Trekking Association). You join the postal boat from Hardbakke to Litle Færøy, where you rent a rowboat for a day or two. 10. Grotlesanden and Vetvika beaches
In Bremanger you will find two of the most beautiful beaches in Norway. Enjoy lazy summer days or watch a storm close by!
