About
Across the Rekstafjord lies Askrova and Tansøy, two islands, but one community with altogether 200 inhabitants. Agriculture is the main way of living. 7.5 km2 big Askrova is relatively flat and elongated, and 233 metres at its highest point. The island Tansøy is seperated from Askrova by a 100 metres wide inlet. On Askrova you may explore "Trollhola" - the troll cave - a prehistoric cave. The main cavern is the size of a cathedral, has several passages leding from it and is a fascinating natural phenomenon. The high parts of the island provides a sweeping view of the archipelago.
