Experience the majestic mountains and the open ocean along the Fjord Coast by joining the local postal boat delivering mail, or experience the island outside of Florø by taking a round trip with the local transportation. Rain and drizzle are usually considering perfect conditions for fishing and our region is a gold mine for recreational fishing. You can fish in the sea, rivers as well as lakes, and you can catch fishes such as mackerel, saithe, cod, haddock, ling, crabs and crayfish. If you throw the fishing line deep enough, you might also catch halibut and anglerfish. Fishing during the winter is a unique experience and often leads people to catching the biggest fish.

The winter on the Fjord Coast is often a combination of stormy weather and incredible winter light. The most reliable time to enjoy the storms is from November through Febuary. We call the winter storm season - and it is impressive. Cold weather with snow is a rare sight in this region. Windy weather, on the other hand, is of a frequent occurrence! Being the most stormy area in the southern part of Norway, the region offers spectacular nature experiences! The route includes fjord, mountain, and the coast and consists of 3 breweries that make exquisite handcrafted beer and cider as well as delicious local food. The card allows you to travel as much as you want with the express boat between Bergen - Nordfjord and Bergen and Sogn over th course of 5 days.
