The Fjord Coast offers an amazing environment for diving. With a great variety of species, exciting diving terrain and many wrecks, the region has become a popular destination for divers from all over the world. Gulen Dive Resort is one of Norway´s best diving centres, and they offer professional diving experiences throughout the entire year.
You cannot travel further west in Norway than Solund, Bulandet and Værlandet - often referred as the "Venice of Norway". This area is perfect for kayaking with countless small and large islands, islets and skerries. Although you are close to the open ocean, the islands provide shelter from wind and waves. The area is also a popular place to surf during the autumn, and Askvoll Kayakclub arrange gatherings at Bulandet every year!
In Måløy you can paddle around white beaches and steep mountains, and experience the old trading towns and rich wildlife. South of Måløy, the area around Florø offers shelter for the wind and excellent conditions for kayaking. Take a trip to one of the many islands around the city or along one of the fjords.

The water sport festival "Våt Moro" has a broad spectre of different activities. The festival also has family friendly activities for younger children as well as the evening event "After sea". It takes place in the month of July in Florø.
Experience a proper adrenaline rush by joining a RIB-Safari! The RIB-boat brings you close to the nature and wildlife in the beautiful archipelago.
Kystrafting in Florø offers coastal rafting, lighthouse safari and rides with a RIB-boat to attractions and hidden spots around Florø. Or, what about harvesting crabs and shelf fish?
Fjordguiding in Gulen offers rides with RIB-boats from Eivindvik and Skjerjehamn.
Surrounded by open seas and fjords in Norway´s most beautiful archipelago, sea fishing is a great activitiy all year round. The cabins, fisherman´s cabins and sea houses offer terrific conditions for fishing holidays. These are located close by the ocean and gives you access to boats as well as fascilities and equipment to prepare and store the fish you catch. You can also join a local fisherman on a guided fishing trip and get recommendations about the best fishing sports. Several of the accommodation establishments offer guided fishing trips on request.
"Flekke- and Guddalsvassdraget" in Fjaler spans about 30km from Flekkefjord to the mountain in Guddal and has a good amount of salmon and sea trout. The "Huseklepp fishing school" in Guddal offers courses and guided fishing tours. These are several accommodation companies near the watercourse that can assist inland fishing and many sell fishing lincenses and provide their own fascilities.
In Kinn you will find the 44 km long Osenvassdraget, which consists of rivers and fishing lakes with long-standing traditions of salmon and trout fishing.
Join a sea eagle safari and experience the majestic bird up close. The tour becomes a grand and raw nature experience. Most people will probably find it exciting to encounter a sea eagle, with up to 2,5 meters long wings, this close. Naturally, you will have a good opportunity to take some amazing pictures of the sea eagle and the wildlife around. Join a guided tour in Værlandet, and in Måløy with Explore 62 North.
There is little traffic on the roads that connect the islands together, and the surroundings create perfect conditions for biking. The ferries and boats that transport you from one island to another function as experiences in themselves. The beautiful Laukelandsfossen in Dalsfjorden offfers a unique swimming experience. You cannot see the large natural pool under the waterfall from the ocean, but you can even sneak behind the waterfall itself. This makes for an exceptional swimming experience. You can get to Laukelandsfossen by boat or by renting a kano or kayak in Badevika in Dale. You can also paddle over the fjord (contact the service office in Fjaler at +47 577 38 000)
