Spectacular Lihesten (777 masl) is a famous landmark on the coast and probably one of the most photographed mountains in the region. The mountain has many trail and you can spend days exploring them. Lihesten is also popular for mountain climbing. A round trip to the most popular peaks on the mountain takes about 8 hours. Grading: very demanding.

The mountain Alden raises 481 metres up from the sea, and is a famous sailing mark on the coast of Norway. Due to its particular shape, it is called “the Norwegian horse”. The view from the top is stunning!

Hike the highest seacliff in Europe! From the top of Hornelen you can enjoy a panoramic view of the varied and scenic landscape with narrow fjords, majestic mountains and small islands far out at sea. If you dare, you can lie down on the edge of the cliff and look straight down on the sea 860 meters below you!

With more than 40.000 hikers a year, Brandsøyåsen (286 masl) in Florø is the most popular hike in the county of Sogn & Fjordane. There are several trails to the top and you can walk from the centre of the town. From the top you can enjoy a great view of fjords, mountains, islands and Florø – the westernmost town in Norway!
Duration: from 1 hour round trip, depending on starting point. Grading: easy.

Solund is an island paradise with more than 1700 islands, islets and skerries. Pollatinden (541 masl) is the second highest peak in Solund, and from the top you get a breathtaking view of the archipelago.
Duration: 2-3 hours round trip. Grading: medium difficulty.

Store Batalden (495 masl) is the highest peak on the islands surrounding Florø. From the top you get wonderful views of the archipelago, islands and sea. There is also an art gallery, local museum and historic accommodation on the island.
Duration: 2,5 hours round trip. Grading: medium difficulty, but parts of the trail is very steep.
